Tamilnadu Foodgrains Marketing Yard Ltd established under IIU Scheme of Min. of Commerce & Industry, GOI at a cost of Rs.40 crores invites candidates for their R & D Modern Laboratory. Its activities are guided and monitored by Dr.P.Pillaiyar a renowned Grain Processing Technologist.
Qualification of Candidates :
Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Analytical Chemistry or allied subjects or Food Science & Technology with some knowledge on Grain Science & Technology.
Experience :
Practical experience in the analyses of carbohydrates (sugars,
starch, amylose, cellulose, hemicellulose), fibers (dietary fiber,
detergent fiber), protein including aminoacids, fat (including
physical / chemical constants, fatty acids), minerals, vitamins,
phytin, insecticide residue, toxic constituents, uric acid,
basic nutrition studies and similar constituents and
in handling analytical equipments like UV/VIS
Spectrophotometer, Auto nitrogen ,Auto fat and Fibre analysers Atomic
Absorption Spectrometer, Loviband Tintometer, Viscograph, Bomb
Calorimeter, different Chromotography equipments, auto-titrator etc.,
Microbiological work (examination of bacteria,fungi,yeast and
estimation of mycotoxins particularly Aflatoxin etc.,).
Emoluments
A. For Scheme Work
- Research Associate – Rs.18,000/- + HRA pm as per UGC pattern
- Senior Research Fellow – Rs.12,000/- + HRA pm as per UGC pattern
- Junior Research Fellow – Rs.7,560/- pm (consolidated) as per UGC pattern
B. For Regular Activities
- Scientific Assistant – Gr-I - Rs.7,000 to 8,000/- pm (consolidated)
- Scientific Assistant – Gr-II - Rs.6,000 to 7,000/- pm (consolidated)
- Scientific Assistant – Gr-III - Rs.5,000 to 6,000/- pm (consolidated)
The engagement is purely time bound, non-regular and non co-terminus basis. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated on the expiry of the period given in the appointment order.
